Crystal, Alchemy & Tibetan Singing Bowls

The sound healing sessions Kimberly Salonia offers utilize 3 varieties of bowls: Crystal, Alchemy & Tibetan Singing Bowls

The Power of Crystal Singing Bowls

Not all sound affects our systems the same way. While Tibetan bowls “are absolutely wonderful,” their sound penetrates our bodies in a different way than crystal bowls because we have very little metal in our bodies.” On the other hand we receive the sound that crystalline made bowls make in our bodies because “we are water and our bones have a crystalline structure that creates an entrainment between sound and body.”

Crystal Singing Bowls are from pure quartz crystal- heating natural quartz up to 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit, its melting point, and pouring it into a graphite mold where it cools and hardens. Quartz is a vibrational and is used as a transmitter in almost all of our technologies. It carries the vibrational consciousness of the metal or the mineral or the crystal into our cellular knowing. We’re water. We are a perfect receptor for this kind of information.” Because we are about 65–70% water, we react to the sound of the crystal bowls similarly, as their vibration penetrates into us.

Science is now finding different tones activate different chakras, organs, and organ systems. For example, C sharp activates the pineal gland, the integration of the third eye and the crown chakra, and the adrenal system. The same goes for metals, minerals, or crystals, each has its own properties and effects on us. For instance, amethyst activates the crown chakra, while rose quartz activates the heart chakra. When a singing bowl is played the “tone” of the bowl is doing its work, the consciousness of the crystal or the mineral or the metal is doing its work and creating resonance with all aspects of the human energy field.

Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls are made from 99.992% pure crushed quartz and heated to roughly 4000 degrees in a centrifugal mold where precious metals, gemstones, rare metals, rare earths or rare crystals are heated and added to the quartz bowls. The addition of these other elements add to the properties of the quartz crystal and enhance the properties of the bowls.

Different combinations of what the bowls are made out of and how we receive their sound in our bodies is the basis of why the bowls are so moving and healing. Because we are primed to receive their sound, they can evoke true transformation. When you let go of your over thinking mind & listen with your body, the bowls open your awareness and teach you. Many people report experiencing “huge shifts of consciousness” and the ability to connect and awaken their own inner healer.

Tibetan, Himalayan or Nepalese Singing Bowls

Metal singing bowls or medicine bowls, were traditionally used throughout Asia in the tradition of making sound dating back 3,000 years to the bronze age. The sides and rim of the bowls vibrate to produce sound where they are used worldwide both within and without spiritual traditions, for meditation, music, relaxation, personal well-being and religious practice. Today the bowls are made in Nepal, India, Japan, China and Korea. In Buddhist practice, singing bowls are used as a signal to begin and end meditation. In Japan and Vietnam, singing bowls are similarly used during chanting and may also mark the passage of time or signal a change in activity.

Metal bowls are unique because they are multi-phonic instruments, producing multiple harmonic overtones at the same time. The overtones are a result of using an alloy consisting of multiple metals, each producing its own overtone.
